Project History

With a strong track record of impact, FMCN has developed multiple projects and initiatives focused on protecting and conserving Mexico’s natural treasure.

  • EmFoCo and Development: Financing for Community Forest Enterprises
    Objective: To facilitate the environmental, social, and financial development and sustainability processes of community forest enterprises, contributing to climate change mitigation and the strengthening of local capacities.
    Implementation: 2013-2019

 

  • Biodiversity Monitoring and Conservation
    Objective:To promote public participation in the monitoring of natural resources.
    Implementación: 2011-2021
  • Save the Golden Eagle
    Objective: To support the recovery and conservation of wild golden eagle populations within their historical range in Mexico.
    Implementation: 2009–present

 

  • Sustainable Rural Life
    Objective: To promote the use of eco-technologies to reduce deforestation, strengthen water and food self-sufficiency, and improve family health conditions in rural communities.
    Implementation: 2010 -present
